Two-time Grammy-nominated Tiempo Libre made prime time, performing their salsa inspired hit “Tu Conga Bach” on the hit ABC show, Dancing With the Stars in late October. They followed up with a performance of “Para Ti” on Leno with violin virtuoso Joshua Bell, adding to their crossover appeal.
This Miami based band is on a fast-rising trajectory. After garnering two Grammy nominations, they were signed by Sony, named the “Best Latin Group” by Miami New Times, and have appeared with music legends from Cachao and Celia Cruz to Albita and Arturo Sandoval.
Friends since childhood and all conservatory-trained musicians, Tiempo Libre is finally finding cross-over success and mainstream TV coverage. Bringing a global flair to their blend of fiery salsa, sizzling timba and high-energy Latin beats, “They’re nothing short of high voltage,” claims Billboard Magazine, and absolutely sensational when performing live, in concert, as they will do at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 27.
