RED WANTING BLUE COMES TO TOWN

Published: Jan 22, 2019

FORT LAUDERDALE – Red Wanting Blue will deliver an intimate concert experience in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, January 30 at 8 p.m. Established as one of the indie world’s most enduring and self-sufficient acts more than 20 years ago, Red Wanting Blue has been hailed as “Midwestern rock heroes” by American Songwriter. The band has spent most of their career operating outside of the confines of the traditional music industry, earning their legion of lifelong fans. Although NPR noted Red Wanting Blue “earned their fans the right way – bar by bar and concert by concert,” it has found wider acclaim releasing 11 albums, appearing on Letterman and reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Red Wanting Blue band members are Scott Terry (vocals, tenor guitar, ukulele); Mark McCullough (bass, chapman stick, vocals); Greg Rahm (guitar, keyboards, vocals); Eric Hall (guitar, lap steel, vocals); and Dean Anshutz (drums & percussion). In 2016, the band celebrated a 20th anniversary with a retrospective album/concert film entitled RWB20 Live at Lincoln Theater which captured the band in all their glory at a sold-out hometown show in Columbus, Ohio. Tickets are $32.50 with $52.50 VIP tickets which include a meet and greet. Ticketmaster is the only official ticketing service of the Broward Center, The Parker and affiliated venues.
