Focusing on selections from her new album, Take Me to the World, the two-time Tony®-winning actress, singer and dancer will perform Broadway favorites and original recordings along with sharing stories of how being a mother of a two-year-old has informed her work and changed her life.
Foster will star alongside fellow Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman in the upcoming Broadway revival of The Music Man in October of next year. Her previous Broadway roles include: Violet, Anything Goes (Tony Award), Shrek, Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Women, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony Award), Les Misérables, Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Grease. Off-Broadway she was seen in The Wild Party and Anyone Can Whistle (City Center Encores!), Sweet Charity (The Pershing Square Signature Center) and Trust (Second Stage).
Currently starring as the lead of Darren Star’s hit TV Land series, Younger, Foster has also appeared on television in Live from Lincoln Center, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Bunheads, Elementary, Psych, Royal Pains, Law & Order: SVU, Flight of the Conchords and Sesame Street.
In addition to Take Me to the World, Foster has recorded Wish and An Evening with Sutton Foster: Live at the Café Carlyle. Of her Café Carlyle residency, The New York Times said, “The radiance of Julia Roberts and the zany spunk of Holly Golightly: that only begins to describe the seductive charms of Sutton Foster in her irresistible cabaret show.”
Rafter recently appeared on Live from Lincoln Center with Sutton Foster, recorded a third CD with Foster and has been touring the world as her music director/arranger/pianist over the last several years. He conducted Gypsy on Broadway starring Tyne Daly well as the TV movie starring Bette Midler, for which he won an Emmy® award for his music direction.
On Broadway, Rafter has also served as music director/conductor of Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Sound of Music and The King & I. He supervised the Broadway and/or national touring companies of Everyday Rapture, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Swing!, Sunset Boulevard, The Sound of Music and The Buddy Holly Story.

ABOUT PARKER PLAYHOUSE
The neo-classical The Parker is a Fort Lauderdale landmark. One of the city’s first entertainment venues, it was built by Dr. Louis Parker and opened its doors on February 6, 1967. During its early years, the playhouse earned its reputation presenting theatrical seasons featuring legendary Broadway stars. In 2005, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts assumed management of the 1,168-seat, fully-equipped theater and, over the years, it became a venue of note for every kind of artistic activity – theater and Broadway, music, concerts, dance of all genres, comedy, conversations, celebrations and educational programming that is curriculum-driven and aligned with Florida state standards. The Parker is undergoing a $30 million transformation to take the iconic venue into the 21st century. For more information on the Parker campaign, visit ParkerPlayhouse.com/Support.
