“YOUR ALIEN” DELIVERS OUT OF THIS WORLD ENTERTAINMENT

 AVENTURA, Fla. – (January 18, 2019) The musical Your Alien continues the 2018–19 Family Fun Series presented by Hoffman's Chocolates and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, January 27 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. A stranded alien strikes up a fabulous friendship with the boy who finds him and they go to school and have loads of fun until evening approaches and the alien grows homesick. The boy must figure out how to help in this tale of the power of true friendship. Based on the book by Tammi Sauer with illustrations by Goro Fujita, Your Alien is staged by Arts Power, a theatre company that creates musical and dramatic theatre productions based on books for young readers and tours them for young and family audiences throughout the United States and Canada. Each show in the Family Fun series includes free pre-show face painting and arts activities hosted by Young At Art along with a complimentary post-show sweet treat from Hoffman’s Chocolates. An affordable way to introduce youngsters to the magic of musical theater, these family-friendly shows bring families together, spark creativity and engage the imagination as only live theater can as acclaimed theater companies bring children’s favorite storybook characters to thrilling life on stage. The series continues with The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favorites (Feb. 24); and Stuart Little (April 14). The 2018-2019 Family Fun Series in Aventura is made possible in part through support from the Miami Salon Group, Inc. Single tickets are $16 for individuals ($18 the day of the show) and $14 for groups of 10 or more with $3 lap seats are available for infants 12-months or younger. Four-show subscriptions offer a savings of $2 per show. Ticketmaster is the only official ticketing service of the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.
