JM FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR SUMMER THEATER CAMP

Accepting Applications

The JM Family Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for students ages 7 to 18 to attend the Broward Center’s Summer Theater Camp and gain hands-on experience in musical theater, acting, dance, voice and technical production. Scholarships are primarily awarded based upon level of financial need. The application deadline for all sessions of Summer Theater Camp 2025 is Friday, February 21 (no exceptions).

Thank you for your interest in attending our summer theater camp. Our camp consists of approximately 42 campers in each of the age groups. On the first day of camp Group A, Group B, and Group C audition for a role in their age-appropriate show. In addition to this, campers will also engage in rehearsals that teach acting, dancing, and singing. Group A, our youngest group, will also do arts and crafts. On Fun Fridays, we change our regular rehearsal schedule to include fun activities, games, dress up and show off our week’s efforts with the rest of the camp. Because our daily activities culminate into our final production, attendance and participation is very important. To learn more details about our theater camp, you can watch this video which details a typical day during camp. You can also download a copy of our handbook here:
