SOMETHING ROTTEN! JR. MAKES ITS DEBUT
In the grand tradition of “the show must go on,” students at the Broward Center’s Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center took their rehearsals online from March through July to create a pilot production of Something Rotten! Jr. for Music Theatre International (MTI).

JM FAMILY ENTERPRISES MAKES SUMMER CAMP POSSIBLE FOR STUDENTS IN NEED
Thanks to the generosity of JM Family Enterprises, more than 20 students will receive scholarships to attend summer camp sessions this year. With a variety of options including virtual Summer Theater Camp and virtual Broadway Intensives, the JM Family Scholarship Program for Summer Theater Camp is providing these children a welcome experience during a uniquely challenging year.

SPOTLIGHTS SING... IN A VIRTUAL CABARET
When it became clear that the live performance could not take place as planned, the Broward Center Spotlights performed a virtual cabaret of songs in an exclusive livestream Facebook concert for the residents of John Knox Village, a Pompano-based senior residential community. The Spotlights, our talented teen vocal ensemble, delighted these audience members with Broadway show tunes and standards from the American Songbook.

SUPPORTERS OF BROWARD LAUNCH CAMPAIGN TO JUMPSTART ECONOMY
With a virtual campaign launch from several locations including the Broward Center, this community-wide initiative encourages everyone in the community to support local businesses. Led by Six Pillars Broward, an initiative of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the goal of this playful campaign is to kickstart the economy safely by encouraging everyone to eat, drink and shop locally.
