This class teaches theater skills to people with physical and intellectual disabilities in a supportive and nurturing environment. By utilizing theater techniques, students enhance verbal skills, improve movement, build self-confidence, and advance socialization while stimulating free and independent thinking. Students choose the characters and write the script for the performance that takes place in the JM Family Studio Theater at the end of the session. Offered in partnership with the Exceptional Theater Company.

Teaching artist: Instructors from the Exceptional Theater Company.

$15 PER FAMILY/PER CLASS

All Abilities classes provide interactive and engaging arts experiences in a supportive and welcoming environment for people with physical and developmental disabilities. Join our Broward Center teaching artists as they lead a fun dance and singing experience for the whole family. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay and participate. Complimentary parking is included, and complimentary beverages and cookies are provided to encourage socialization among participants. Two age groups available for each class.
